Nutrition Tip of the Week: Don’t Skip Meals!
There are many reasons that you do not want to skip meals throughout your day. The first reason is that it lowers your energy. Skipping your meal can also lower your blood sugar. Sugar is the fuel that our body runs on. You need the right amount of sugar at the right time throughout the day.
Secondly, it lowers your nutrition. By skipping meals you are missing an opportunity to eat healthy, thus not gaining any vitamins or minerals.
Finally, this is not a habit you want to get into. Going too long without eating kicks your body into survival mode. This sends you on a journey for food and we do not always choose a healthy option when we are in this state.
