Trouble managing daytime fatigue, lack of focus, even decreased physical performance? Take a closer look at your sleep. Are you getting enough? Any sleep disturbances? Trouble unwinding and falling asleep? Yes to any or all of these is very common with our fast-paced, high-technology world. Here are a few tips to get the 7-9 hours of sleep recommended by the American Sleep Association.
Set and alarm clock 30 minutes before bedtime Eat a light carbohydrate snack 30 minutes before bedtime Get blackout curtains to decrease outside light Wear blue-light blocking lenses an hour before bed Create a daily routine Decrease fluid intake before bed to disrupt urinary urges when you should be sleeping.
These are just a few simple tips to help improve your sleep health and overall well-being!
