What is Tabata? Traditional Tabata is 20 seconds of work, followed by 10 seconds of rest for 8 sets. You will preform 20 seconds of push-ups (APFT style push-ups), rest 10 seconds, repeat for 8 sets.
Your Tabata score is the lowest number of push-ups you preform in any 20 second interval. Therefore, the idea is to pace yourself. Check out this video: https://youtu.be/4tbSlP8JO34
